Mena Alexa Suvari, born 1979. She is a famous American model, fashion designer and actor. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she transitioned into acting after appearing as a guest on 90's television shows such as Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her film debut came in 1997's drama film Nowhere. She made the transition to major roles with her performances in American Beauty for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered the attention of the world. In 2000, she starred with her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the lead role in Sugar & Spice (2000). The year 2002 saw her appeared in Spun the drama that was made by an independent studio and in 2004's thriller Trauma. The actress was a part of HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
