Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is an accomplished photographer as well as a journalist. Over the past forty-five years, she's focused her work on reporting human suffering, especially during war and natural catastrophes. Curry has covered wars across the globe, and has reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist, television anchor and news reporter who was most well-known for her work as a correspondent for the Today show a morning news program aired by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was noted especially for her work on reporting the humanitarian crisis in war-ravaged countries and on natural catastrophes. Curry is the daughter of an U.S. Navy sailor and the daughter of a Japanese woman. Her parents met while their father was in Japan following World War II. Due to her father's military service, the family relocated often. Curry graduated from high school within Ashland Oregon. She earned a journalism certificate from The University of Oregon in 1978. Her likely to have developed an empathetic way of communicating through her exposure to diverse cultures in her early years. Ann Curry works as a famous American newscaster and journalist for NBC. Ashland is where she finally completed her high school. In Medford, she started her career in broadcasting at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22 she was the first reporter to be female at KTVL. Following that, she went onto becoming an anchor and reporter at KGW, an NBC affiliate station located in Portland. She moved back to Los Angeles four years later to work as a reporter for KCBS TV. Through her KCBS-TV relationship of six years, she was awarded two Emmy Awards.
